Unfortunately, one of the biggest problems on the Internet today involves the theft of copyrighted material. Time and again bad operators on the Internet and World Wide Web can be found literally stealing the copyrighted work of others. If you are involving yourself in article marketing today, it literally will only be a matter of time before someone steals your own written materials. Therefore, it is important for you to understand what you need to do in order to protect your copyright interest. It is important that you understand the three primary steps that you need to take if someone steals your copy, violates the copyright interest you have in your articles.
First, if you discover that someone has stolen your copyrighted materials, has infringed on your interest in articles that you have written, you need to immediately communicate with that person and advise them in not uncertain terms that you are exerting your copyright interest.
Second, when you find that someone has stolen or misappropriated your copy, you need to contact the website owner or administrator where the copy has been posted. In many interests, this will not be the same person who has stolen or misappropriated your copy in the first instance.
Third, you must be willing to backup the demands that you make when it comes to copy or articles that have been misappropriated from you. If you threaten legal action, you must be ready and willing to initiate legal action if the situation devolves to that level.
