Four Rules of Article Marketing

An ambitious website owner/operator must use article marketing techniques that will work for them and earn them the many benefits that article marketing can bring to their website. Articles are very often the main factor in driving traffic to a website. Good article marketing can also determine your site's rankings in search engine result pages. And remember, the higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic pie it will get, This not only generates more profit but also creates potential for other income generating schemes as well. But, it is not enough to just cram as many articles as possible into your web pages. In order for your article marketing campaigns to be successful, there are certain standards that you need to maintain.

Because of the importance of article marketing as a search engine optimization tool, there seems to be a huge influx of private label articles being distributed around the web which you may download and use in your campaigns.. Don't do that! Always try to be creative and write your own unique articles, or at least just use the PLR freebies as a guide. Search engines robots are capable of seeing that your PLR articles are not unique and will attach less importance to them. If you are to gain the maximum benefit from your article marketing campaigns, keep your articles unique and well presented. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of potential customers and keep them coming back to your website for more. Also, they will be more inclined to recommend your website to others.

So lets look at a four basic ideas to keep in mind when writing your articles. If you apply these simple tips to your writing agenda, your article marketing campaign will produce a higher level of success.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article should always be written around certain keywords and keyword phrases which will often be the keywords pertaining to the webpage you intend to promote. It is advisable to center an article around just one keyword. There will be many keywords and keyword phrases that you can use and why not write an article for every one? There are a variety of keyword tools around the Internet which will help a webmaster to determine which keywords and keyword phrases are most likely to be used by searchers typically looking for his/her website. So before you begin your article marketing campaign, spend time in choosing the keyword and keyword phrases you will write your articles around.

Keyword Density

The term 'keyword density' relates to the number of times each keyword or keyword phrase is used in an article. It is shown as a percentage of the total number of words in a text. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to feel it's presence, but keep in mind that the recommended keyword density for article marketing optimization is from 3% to 7%, anything above this, say 10% density will appear very much like keyword stuffing and your article may well be penalized by search engines. At any rate, an article with 10% keyword density will hardly make any sense, if read by a human. On the other hand, if the keyword density is too low your article may be ignored by search engines, and your article marketing campaign will have little little effect. Ideally if your article is say 700 words in length, you should try to use your keyword approximately 35 times throughout. But remember, keyword density in the title, the headings, and the first paragraphs will carry more weight. This is good article marketing practice.

Good Article Content

Taking into account keyword density, you would be ill-advised to just litter your articles with keywords and not consider that they should also make for good reading. The success or failure of your article marketing campaigns will depend heavily on how much your article content entertains the reader. Articles should be well written with correct spelling and good grammar. Most of all they should make sense and be interesting. Most readers respond well to facts, figures and statistics. Always try to include good information and as many facts as you are able. A good, well written article is also likely to boost your reputation as being reasonably expert in your chosen field or topic. Some of them will read other articles you have had published, and as more people believe in you, they will be able to trust in you and your products.

Linking Articles

Another important thing to remember is to include a link to your website in the resource box immediately after your article. Whether you submit your articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other article marketing sites, a small resource box with a brief description of your website should always be placed right after the articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they are more likely to click on the link directing them to your website. If a resource box is present on your article submission form, you may often be allowed to include two or even three links to your site. Always check this out as it would be a shame if your article is rejected by the directory/ezine owner because you abused the resource box.

So these four important rules of article marketing if implemented will ensure that your articles are well ranked and give your article marketing campaigns the best chance of being successful. Remember that your article marketing campaign success is totally dependant on the quality and content of the articles you have published.

Amazing Kick Butt Article Marketing Strategies Bring Traffic Home

Short of Branding your backside and making it visible to the media, what can you do to get your articles noticed and your site busy? Well, branding, for starters.

I am amazed at the number of articles I read that are dry, lackluster, boring to read, and essentially have nothing to say. Not that I haven’t written my share of boring Articles that didn‘t Market anything but a good night‘s sleep, but … the score is to write more and more Articles that bring traffic home, because your Article Marketing skills are improving.

Just for kicks here, I’m going to pick apart an email I just received asking about “Article Marketing and How to Get Noticed” and answer some questions from a client, via this article. Hopefully, this Strategy Article will shed some light on this process and make Article Marketing Strategies a bit clearer than mud (at the very least).

1. How do you GRAB ATTENTION?

Keywords in title. Everyone pulls keyword searches and snaps up those top keyword articles from the search result, so you need to “Be there”. Fill your articles with keywords and effectively market your topic.

Attention grabbers in title. Using words that grab your reader and hold him hostage until he reads more. (simple, amazing, free, discount, secret - these are hostage holders) A few Attention Grabbing words in a Keyword Rich Title provide effective ‘get notices techniques’.

Teaser intros bring ‘em in. Put just enough keyword rich information in your ‘intro’ to capture their attention, but not enough to give them get away power. Don’t tell them the secret, just remind them you have a secret to share. Questions are effective here.

2. Get your Articles Picked-up and Published.

Relevant content. Be sure you pack your articles with actual informative content relevant to the keywords you selected. Keep the content related to the title and follow through with keyword rich informative content. Use bullets, bold, italics to identify parts, and be consistent. Use keywords throughout your Article Marketing Process to keep the reader interested.

Controversial ideas. Be bold. Write a statement using keyword dense commentary that bucks the system. If you agree with the premise, make it a question, but capture your reader with a controversial viewpoint. Put your opinion in a statement that gets you noticed, and puts your name up there. Don’t crack heads with your viewpoint, but do get noticed. Milk Toast never did anything for anyone other than bore them to sleep on Saturday night.

3. Create a template to Simplify the Writing Process.

Introduce your idea. Give a summary of introduction to your Article content with the introductory paragraph. This should invite them to read the Article subtitles and look for more relevant content within the form of the Article.

Use Bullets & Subtitles. Make your points with keyword rich bullets and subtitles to keep the article succinct and to the point. One or two paragraphs under each bullet or subtitle make the article worth reading.

Conclusions Rock. End your article with a conclusion that tells the reader what you want them to do. Give them an option. Tell them to take action.

4. Maximize Keyword Count.

Edit for keyword optimization. After you’re done with your article, go back and edit to add in keywords. The more keyword density your article has, the better your article will sell or promote. Article Marketing is all about keyword density, search engine optimization, and maximizing the recognition factor of your website, brand, and topic. The more keyword density you use in the articles, the more your ‘brand’ will be recognized and your site specifically will be searched for online.

5. Create an Author Box with Linking Power.

Power-charge your Author Box. Put specific keyword dense items in your author box every time and it will impress your reader. Your name, your website, and a call to do something.

Call to action. Putting a call to action in your author box gives the reader direction. “Sign up for my ezine.” “Visit my website.” “Order my ebook.” These are directions that hypnotize the reader to action. They give the reader directions, and people follow directions.

Name and Website. These are “duh” inclusions. Without them, your reader doesn’t know who you are, or where you are, and lacks important information about where the article came from. Give your articles credibility and brand them with your identity.

These Kick Butt Article Marketing Strategies bring traffic to your site because they work every time, all the time. Ask any Article Marketer about their process or strategy and they will tell you “Be consistent”, brand your niche and effectively use your brand in every article.

Whatever strategy you choose to use with Article Marketing, make it your own, use it deliberately and consistently and you will achieve your goals.

Bum Marketing For Beginners

The moment you commit and quit holding back, all sorts of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance will rise up to help you. The simple act of commitment is a powerful magnet for help."

---Napoleon Hill

Is that quote true for your life? Do you believe in the Law of Attraction? Are you reading this article at this moment because of fate, coincidence, or just because? Make a commitment to succeed - to make your dreams come true - then be open to the thoughts that whatever you need to make your dreams a reality, you shall have. Whether it is knowledge, money or resources, it will be made available to you. Put those tools to work, put an effort into succeeding, and as if by magic, your dreams will one day become a reality! INTENTION YOUR SUCCESS!!!

Introduction

Bum Marketing is probably the hottest online money making strategies around, mostly due its simplicity. BUM Marketing is a way of article marketing, in which you write articles and use them to promote your business/product and/or services. The basic concept behind BUM Marketing is to write as many articles possible for each topic you are interested in, then submit them to various article directories over a period of time. It is essential that you write articles that contain good content and submit them to the article directories for publication. Some marketers choose quantity over quality (though if you outsource or develop a plan for your time, you can get both).

Article Directories & Resource Boxes

As stated, you will need to submit your articles to directories. It is best to focus on article directories with good traffic and search engine rankings. It is a good idea to visit a few of the directories before submitting to them. In that way you can get a feel for the type of articles that are posted there and any particular requirements. After your articles have been submitted to a few article directories the search engines will begin to index your articles on keyword density and rank you in the searches for your keywords.

"Perseverance is a great element of success, if you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody."

---Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Bum Marketing is probably the most affordable and the fastest way to start or grow your Internet business. Basically, it can be a zero cost method of writing articles on good, low competition keywords, followed by directing the articles to a product that you can make a profit with. It is vitally important that you include a well planned resource Box at the end or beginning of each of your articles. This can include a biography that can show that you are well trained and educated in your field, plus include links to your websites. By providing that information other ezines and webmasters looking for content will come to count on you for quality material and readers may be attracted to your sites which can lead to added sales for you. Because of these functions, the Resource Box is the most important component in any article you write for promotion. First sell yourself in your Resource Box, then add all promotional links. If this information isn't compelling enough to entice readers to click-through your articles will earn you very little, if any income.

Conclusion

Set a goal of writing one article per day. Try to stick with that and if that isn't too difficult, then increase your output. Step it up to two articles a day. The more you write, the more times your name will be "out there" and by gaining recognition you will soon be known and respected as an expert. It also increases the chances that someone will click through and thus make a purchase on your site....which can result in making you money! By building a reputation as an expert you will soon see results.

Keyword research and niche selection are the basis of Bum Marketing. Bum Marketing can be done without spending money, which makes it very attractive to most Internet Marketers. The bottom line is, if you want to make money with Bum Marketing you need to strive to get your articles to a "critical mass" on the web.

"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises."

---Demosthenes
