Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is

The following are some of the golden rules for applying the best on site optimization methods kicking around today. You need to understand how your website is viewed from a search engines point of view and as Google is currently top of the tree for providing this service it's best to aim for what they are looking for or how they do things in terms of judging a web page.

You must put your most important keyword in the h1 tag section this also needs to be located as far towards the top of the page as possible. This is done because the search engine Google reads a web page it reads it from the top left hand side to the bottom right hand side of the page. The best strategy is to put your h1 header tag would be the following example for the term "left handed widgets" the html code would look like this.

"Left Handed Widgets"

You would change the wording to be the main keyword for your webpage but you get the idea. You also need to add more tags these are h2 tags these are to contain your second most important keywords. These also need to be located in the top section of your web page. Once you have put your h2 tags on the page it's time to get your content written.

The main criteria for making a good website is down to creating something new and unique relevant to the main h1 and h2 keyword tags on your website. To do this it always best to go and get either the latest information on that subject and read up and assess whether other people would be interested in knowing about that as well as importantly adding your own comment on the subject.

Just grabbing content from article sites just does not cut it anymore it is important that you put some unique input into your website. You can still use article content but add a preface to the article hand written by yourself describing that you came across this article. Set it off with something like this I found this article on "left Handed Widgets" the other day and was amazed to find that due to a new break through its now possible to do x, y or z. This gives the viewer that you are interested in that article and you're adding to it in a constructive manner. You may also add a conclusion section to the article pointing out how that has swayed my decision on using "left handed Widgets" this way you have added to the top and bottom of the article thus creating to the search engine unique content pattern and therefore a friendlier web page for the user.

Try to add pictures and advertising scattered through the article as this breaks up the page better and gives a longer web page. By adding pictures you can name the pictures as the same as your keywords for h1 tags or h2 tags this is another example of on page web optimization and will need to be used if you are considering making use of article content.

When your web page is finished check that you have a good sprinkling of your keywords within your page don't overdo it just keep it around the 2 - 4 % level within your page as this is a good way to make your page relevant and if you are using AdSense then it gives the script the right subject to produce adverts for your site all the best with your website development.

Just what are the Benefits of Submitting Articles to E-Zines

E-zine advertising is perhaps one of the most underused forms of promotion. It is a good idea to do your homework, before launching your viral marketing campaign. Article writing and publishing has become the latest buzz in the internet website marketing world. The name of the game as far as Internet marketing

When starting out online I found Internet Marketing terms very difficult to understand. The first time I heard of backlinks, fantastico and hits I didn't have a clue. It all seemed like jargon to me. In this article I explain 26 must know Internet Marketing terms.

AD COPY:- This describes the actual information contained within your advert. If you write an eBay listing then the information it contains is your ad copy. Effective ad wording will in general lead to more sales.

BACKLINK:- Refers to links on other websites that link back to your website. For example, if I place a link on website A to website B then this is classed as a backlink. Increasing the number of backlinks to your website is one way to increase the popularity of your website in the search engines.

CAMPAIGN:- Usually refers to advertising campaigns. It describes all the work you are doing to advertise a particular site, service or product. For example, if you advertise via Adwords then this is an Adwords campaign, if you advertise to your newsletter subscribers via email then this is an email campaign.

DEDICATED HOSTING:- A type of hosting where your website is hosted on its own dedicated server. Dedicated hosting provides greater computing power and capacity than shared hosting but is also more expensive.

ECOURSE:- An email course. Usually a series of informational email lessons which aim to teach you a specific topic.

FANTASTICO:- A commercial script library which automatically installs web applications such as blogs and content carts on a website. Fantastico scripts are usually executed through the cpanel area of the website.

GIVE AWAY RIGHTS:- This is when you have the rights to give away the product for free. These rights are particularly useful when you want to offer a free bonus with your paid products or provide a free incentive for people who subscribe to your newsletter.

HITS:- A single hit is recorded each time a file request is made for one of your webpages, images or other files. For example, if a visitor loads one of your webpages with two images this would count as three hits.

IM:- An abbreviation of Internet Marketing. Internet Marketing is simply the process of marketing products or services online to make money.

JAVASCRIPT:- Another type of coding/scripting language that can be used to 'write' webpages. Javascript was originally developed by Netscape. It can interact with HTML code allowing web authors to add dynamic content to their website.

KEYWORDS:- Words or phrases that you are trying to target and work with for a given advert, article, website or product. For example, if you are selling a chicken recipes ebook then keywords could include cooking chicken, chicken sauce etc. The use of keywords is particularly important when trying to generate search engine traffic, as these are the words people will type into search engines to find your article, product, website etc.

LANDING PAGE:- Landing pages are used by affiliates. A landing page is the page in between your advert or article for a merchant product. A review of a product containing an affiliate link to that product would be an example of a landing page.

MAILING LIST:- A list of people who have opted in to receive emails from you and/or your company. A good way to organise your mailing list is through the third party service Aweber which I use myself. Possible uses for a mailing list include sending out an ezine, sending out product details or conducting research.

NEWBIES:- This refers to those who are new to something and in the context of Internet Marketing it refers to people who are new to Internet Marketing.

OPTIN:- This is when someone has opted to be part of your mailing list. Most newsletters now require double optin where someone first opts to be part of your mailing list through a form and then confirms their optin (double optin) by clicking a link in an email that is automatically sent to them after filling out the form. Double optin allows you to comply with many of the rules governing junk email but also allows you to be sure that the optin has an active email address.

PAGE LOADS:- The number of times your webpage has been loaded. It is a popular way of counting people that visit your site but it is not as good as Unique Visitor Count.

RECIPROCAL LINKS:- The process of exchanging links with another website. For example, if I agreed to place a link to http://www.abc.com/ from one of my websites and in exchange they placed a link back to my website, then this would be a reciprocal link.

SALES COPY:- This is very similar to Ad Copy. It describes the information written on your sales page.

TEMPLATE:- Refers to a pre-designed webpage which comes with all the relevant text and images. All that is required is for you to fill in the blanks with your own text. For example, all my resellable ebooks (including this one) come with a pre-designed sales page that contains all the relevant text and graphics. All you have to do is perform any edits that you wish.

UNIQUE VISITORS:- A method of measuring traffic to your website which records the number of unique IP addresses that visit your website. For example, if you get 100 visitors to your website each day and 50 of these are from unique IP addresses, then you are getting 50 unique visitors per day.

VIRAL MARKETING:- A method of marketing which relies on people sharing the information you provide to them so that it can reach as wider audience as possible. The name originates from the term 'spreads like a virus' because your aim is for your marketing efforts to spread across the Internet like a virus. So if you provide some information to 2 people, they pass it on to 2 more people each, then those 4 pass the information on to 2 more people each, your information will soon begin to spread across the Internet. An example of viral marketing is the resellable ebooks in my eBay store. Whilst they provide valuable information to the reader they are also a great promotional tool for me, because the reader will associate the ebooks with The Ebook Cavern.

WORDPRESS:- A popular website and script that is used for blogging (writing and managing your blog). Wordpress blogs allow you to add pages to your blog as well as posts.

ZWORKS:- A meta search engine located at http://www.zworks.com/

Tom Parker is an eBay Ebook PowerSeller who sells ebooks and software at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/theebookcavern To receive free tips from Tom regarding selling ebooks on eBay and a free collection of ebooks sign up for The Ebook Cavern Newsletter at http://www.theebookcavern.co.uk/newslettersignup/ Please include this resource box when reprinting this article.

Give marketing is all about using your generous nature to bring you good fortune. It's "fortune" rather than reciprocation because you may be rewarded from someone other than you gave to - sometimes just the right person with the connections you need.

Of course, the best reward of give marketing is that it feels good to do the right thing...

Give Marketing Tip #1- Giving a Private Phone call
Meeting online is great. But some things are better discussed on the phone. If you have a lot of international friends, cut down your calls with Skype, an app that lets you make calls on a hi-speed connection through your computer. All you need is a headset and their free software. For a small fee you can even get an incoming phone number.

Give Marketing Tip #2- Giving a Teleseminar
Not all Give Marketing is about giving without knowing where the reciprocation will come from. Hold a free teleseminar where you discuss just a few tips as a demonstration of your knowledge, then upsell to a starter item. Add an affiliate program and you'll never be without visitors.

Give Marketing Tip #3- Giving a Webinar
While you can get free service for a teleseminar of up to 100 people if you're stateside, most webinars with more than ten guest will cost you a bit of change. To overcome that, record the webinar and sell it as a starter package to those who couldn't make it.

Give Marketing Tip #4- Giving a Video Demo
If you've got a way to capture screenshots, next time you have a tip to share, try creating a video instead. Once you get the hang of the software, it can sometimes be faster and more effective than a written tip. Of course, some things are better left in print, so choose wisely.

Give Marketing Tip #5- Giving a Screenshot
Almost all computers have an easy way to capture the screen, or freeware you can download to do it. Say it in pictures.

Give Marketing Tip #6- Giving a How-to
It can be in text, pictures, audio, video, or all of the above.

Give Marketing Tip #7- Giving Your Friendship
Everyone needs help or a shoulder to lean on sometimes. Make friends. It's lonely online.

Give Marketing Tip #8- Giving Thanks
Yeah, it seems obvious, but we all forget sometimes. By the way, thank you for reading my article. :)

Give Marketing Tip #9- Giving Use of Your Resources Share and share alike. And probably get tons of links too.

Give Marketing Tip #10- Giving an Interview or an Interview Opportunity

Just because giving an interview benefits you, don't think it's not important to the other party too. And if you're the one asking for the interview, remember to be respectful of the other person's time, and be patient if something goes wrong. Just because we're online doesn't mean folks don't have lives, get sick, or have mini-disasters of their own.

Being understanding pays off way more than being a prima donna.

Give Marketing Tip #11- Giving Content or a Place to Publish Content There will never be too many quality resources that provide or publish content.

By now, you see how this Give Marketing Thing works. You make yourself an indispensable resource, and your knowledge and service does the marketing for you.

Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story

Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story because of the way your articles reach humans who have an interest in them. Article Marketing will help you increase your link popularity, search engine positioning for your keywords and phrases, and it helps you reach more potential customers for your products or services.

One of the best ways to market and repurpose your articles is to use them in your blog(s). Here are three ways I use regularly to market and repupose my articles that will work for you all day, everyday.

3 Ways to Blog with Your Articles

1. Parts of articles - Because blog articles are intended to be shorter than the average article, you can start an one in your blog and finish it somewhere else. Create a post using the first few sentences of your article, and then create a link for the reader to click to read the rest. This link can take them to another page in your blog or to your web site.

2. Article Series - You can post a series on the same theme or topic or challenge. You can create a nice following with your readers as they look forward to returning to read the next article in the series. You can build the anticipation a bit at the end of each installment by letting the reader know what is coming in the next one.

3. Break up the article - Tips articles are great for breaking up your writing into different posts. For example, in this article I'm giving you three tips for repurposing your articles in your blog. I could very easily, and probably will, take each one of these tips and create a post with it. At the end of each post, I will give the reader a very brief preview of what to expect in the next post, again to build the anticipation.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

Q: How do I re-purpose 5 existing articles to the article directories ASAP?

A: That's a great question because many people have existing content sitting around somewhere that they could quickly and easily post online in the article directories.

So here are the steps to get your existing content up quickly.

Step 1 - Focus on just one article directory to start, and I'll suggest EzineArticles. I'll show you my three tiered submission approach to all the article directories in another article.

Step 2 - Get an account at EzineArticles - Simple and easy to do. You get your account and can start submitting articles right away.

Step 3 - Chunk it down - Most content that has been written before may be too long for the article directories. Writing articles for distribution on the internet is a different animal. If you have an article that is 900 words long, you want to chunk it down into at least 2 articles, maybe three. In this way you have 3 "article agents" out there working for you instead of just one.

Step 4 - Submit your article - So many people put off this step because they are waiting for their article to be perfect. DON'T do that! Get your article(s) out there working for you. You can go in and tweak and fine tune them later. This is especially true when you are re-purposing old content.

Step 5 - Do steps 3 and 4 over and over again. Article marketing is a numbers game, and the higher your article volume the higher all your other numbers will be.
