Online Home Business Article Marketing Tips

Article Marketing is a very powerful and highly effective method of marketing an online home business and the best part of all is that it can be totally free if you have the time to write your own articles and submit them yourself.

Whilst regularly and consistently submitting articles to as many Article Directories will certainly give you and your website a lot of exposure, other areas often overlooked are submitting directly to Ezines, Forums and Authority Sites.

Although some ezine publishers will search the Article Directories to find suitable material to publish in their ezines, others will have a link on their site inviting the submission of articles.

The many benefits of submitting articles directly to Ezines:

- You could include your name, your credentials, business name, website address and email address in the resource box which will brand not only your website, but your business and yourself.

- After submitting a few articles you will become known as an expert on the topics you write about, which will give you and your business extra credibility helping you compete against your competition.

- There is the chance that your article might also be placed on the publisher's home page. Can you imagine the extra exposure you will receive is they publish each issue on their home page?

- Some ezine publishers archive their ezine on their site offering people the opportunity to view back issues prior to making a decision to subscribe. This again will give you extra exposure.

- Getting your article published in an ezine is free and valuable advertising, which will allow you to spend your profits on other forms of advertising or you could for example buy advertisements in ezines that dont publish your articles.

- If you have a natural flair for writing you may well find yourself receiving offers from people wanting to hire you to write articles or books. This is a great way to make extra income.

- Another benefit would be to give the ezine publishers permission to publish your articles in their free ebooks. Your advertising could multiply all over the internet from the information contained in your resource box.

- Some ezine publishers have a free content directory on their website allowing their visitors to republish articles which will give you added exposure. The great thing about article marketing is there is just no limit to where your articles will end up.

- By submitting articles directly to ezines you will gain peoples trust. They will not be as hesitant to buy your product or service if they read and like your article.

- By offering to run one of their articles in your ezine in exchange for having your article run in theirs, will guarantee more exposure for you.

Submitting Articles to Forums:

Some of the larger forums have an area where you can submit your articles and this can be very beneficial as members of the forum may also be ezine publishers and webmasters looking for content to publish in their ezines or on their websites.

Submitting Articles to Authority Sites:

Some of the authority sites also invite the submission of articles, and should your article be chosen for publication on these sites the exposure for you and your website will be vast.

Boost your Online Home Business:

Implementing these Online Home Business Article Marketing Tips as well as submitting your articles to the Article Directories will give you and your online home business wide ongoing exposure and your search engine rankings will receive a huge boost as you will be accumulating a lot of back links to your website from the anchor text in your resource box.

Article Marketing Success In 10 Minutes

Did you know that in just 10 minutes, you can become a successful article marketer? It's true! In just 10 minutes your marketing can become a success! It's not hard to do, but people seem to make it harder. They tend to make it more complicated than it actually is. Article marketing is about marketing articles. The more you write, the better. The more articles you write, the more successful you will become.

In order to become successful as a marketer, you must first understand one thing. Your not trying to create a work of art. That's it. If you just remember that little piece of information, you can become successful at this marketing tactic. Your not trying to create a work of art. No one wants to read a novel in their spare time! That's why they're on the internet! They want the information that they want fast. They don't want all this sophisticated jargon that they can't understand. They don't want a story line. Your readers just want information. And it's your job to give it to them.

To be successful at marketing in 10 minutes, you just have to write a good enough article. Not a perfect article. Just a good article. If we were to use the school's grading system as an analogy, you should be trying to write a C grade article, not an A grade article. The more you aim at being a C, the better your article will actually become.

When you try to write a C article, it will only take about 6 minutes. Just 6 minutes! That's an article that will be working for you to get traffic to your website made in 6 minutes! You don't need to write a rough draft and a brainstorm to get traffic to your website. Your rough draft will do just fine! Your not trying to give your readers a work of art! That's not meant for article writing!

Article Marketing - You Are Missing Out if You Are Missing Article Marketing

If you are spending your hard earned advertising funds on traditional mail or email marketing, or if you constantly working to improve your ranking on search engines with costly and time consuming search engine optimization operations, then you need to discover article marketing. Article marketing is HOT, and there is a reason for that. The reason is simply this: article marketing can generate traffic to your website quickly, effectively, and at little or not cost to you. If this sounds attractive, then read on.

How does article marketing work? It is actually incredibly simple. Many websites have developed that simply provide informative articles on specific or various topics to interested readers. Someone has to write these articles, so why not you? If you have an online business, then select a topic that relates to the products and services you provide. Write a few informative or persuasive articles on that topic, and then distribute them. Most websites that publish such articles will post your article at no cost to you (some may even pay you, although this is rare), and will add a brief biography and a link to your home website at the end. Then, when interested readers finish your article, they are drawn to your website.

Not only is this easy and fast, it also draws only traffic that is truly interested in your products and services, not a bunch of people who are only clicking the link to your site in order to try to receive a free iPod. Frankly, article marketing is one of the most efficient methods of online marketing that exists today. If you are missing article marketing, then you are missing out.

Are You Tired Of Search Engine Marketing?

Every online marketing plan includes search marketing. Though search marketing is no doubt effective, consider that organic SEO can take anything between 6-9 months to get your site listed. With keyword prices going through the roof, PPC ads are proving to be frightfully expensive.

Getting a decent rank in the major search engines is a long drawn out battle and more often than not, those with the bigger marketing budgets win. What then is the alternative? Viral marketing.

But what is viral marketing? Viral marketing is defined as a strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the marketing message's exposure.

Here are some viral marketing tactics that can help you stand out in the cluttered online world, without paying through your nose:

Email Forwards

This is the most simple and low-cost viral tactic. You'll get more forwards if your email content is funny, controversial or shocking. It can be a cool photograph or just plain text. Be careful not to let your brand's message be too overt or your email will end up in spam folders.

Tell a Friend Offer

Put in a "Tell a Friend" box on the end of online promotional offers. Visitors seeing the offer will happily pass it on to their network of friends.

Funny Video Clips

Nowadays, witty and humorous video clips are wildly popular. They go a long way in creating brand awareness with no media spend. With video sharing sites like YouTube getting over 100 million hits day, viral videos more often than not cover their cost of production.

Online Games

Sponsor an online game. On an average, gamers spend up to 20 minutes per play. That's 20 whole minutes for your brand to quietly make its presence felt in the background as a sponsor.

Flash Games

If you cannot afford to sponsor a high-end online game, consider creating a low-budget, fun Flash game. Send it out to all your friends and associates. Remember to include your website URL in the game.

Free Downloads

Offer a free digital download. It could be a free ebook, screen saver or software program, but bear in mind that your free download should be useful and unique.

Branded Microsites

Branded microsites are favored by many of the bigger advertisers. Burger King's http://www.subservientchicken.com did wonders for the brand online and offline. Ditto with Axe's http://www.axefeather.com

Branded microsites may be a bit expensive but the more than make up with the buzz factor, eyeballs and backlinks.

Article Marketing

To build effective and lasting online popularity there is nothing better than publishing quality content on a regular basis. If your articles are picked by bloggers and webmasters, they will boost your rankings quickly and without much effort.

Are Reciprocal Links Really Dead?

When Google devalued reciprocal links in their search ranking algorithm, I, like many webmasters, dismissed reciprocal links as worthless. But now, having experienced something else other than improvements in my natural search rankings from them, I've changed my mind. So, I will boldly go where I haven't before and say that I believe reciprocal links are not in fact, dead and worthless.

Of course, if all you want to do is improve your natural search results, then reciprocal links will not help you. And these type of links should not be the only ones that you get, in terms of search ranking. But then, you shouldn't concentrate on any one type of link for that, otherwise your link profile will look unnatural.

But, like bum (or article) marketing, reciprocal links can provide a good deal of traffic when you get enough of them. And that traffic, independent of the search engines, can result in sales (if you're a product owner or affiliate), newsletter signups, or even just visitors to your site to be monetized by other means.

The secret lies not in getting one or two, or even twenty, reciprocal links. You do need a few hundred. But over time, those links, from good quality sites, can add up to a source of traffic independent of the search engines.

The problem with reciprocal linking is the fact that it can be time consuming. Looking for link partners manually can be more time than it's worth. But if you use a program to analyze the search results (there are a number out there, but I use Arelis), then this can cut down the man hours. In fact, by analyzing your competitors links, you can find which blogs they have left comments which forums may be valuable for promoting your site, and which directories they have submitted to.

Next, you'll want a way to organize your links so that it looks professional, checks the existence of the reciprocal link, and allows people to swap links with you without a lot of your input. I use a directory script for this rather than one of the old reciprocal link managers, because they have much more functionality, and look very professional. My favorite is PHP link directory. They have a free, older version, but the new version is only $25, with a link back to their site, and it is worth the small investment. You can even get included in their list of directories, which is a valuable link back from a high profile site!

I like PHP link directory because it allows you to add content to your new directory. You can accept articles from anyone, and even automatically show youtube videos embedded in the directory itself. This is a great feature that can increase the visitor value, as well as showing your potential link partners that their links will be placed in a valuable, content-rich part of your site.

Whether or not anyone believes reciprocal links are dead is really a matter of the old saying of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. If you want another source of traffic to your site, then reciprocal links are not dead. But like any form of link or traffic building, you should not focus exclusively on one thing. Get your reciprocal links, but use other forms of link building too. One way links remain the gold standard for rankings in natural search results. And one way links embedded in articles or other content are the absolute premium.

Article Marketing - Your Answers To Questions On Article Marketing

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Article Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and Internet Marketing. All of the articles are based on real experiences and research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. They are also written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with affiliate marketing, article marketing, internet marketing or running an online business in general. I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value. One idea, one tip, one clue can make all the difference.

Article Marketing - Your Answers To Questions On Article Marketing

Article marketing is probably the most effective list building and link building strategy in existence. Article directories allow you to include a resource box for every article you will submit. Inside this resource box, you could include a link to your website and specifically to your newsletter subscription form. If you submit just one article to 100 article directories, you'd immediately receive 100 back links to your website. There are thousands of article directories on the 'net today!

Now, lets say you submit, for example, 5 articles to a hundred directories, you'll get 500 back links easily! The best part about this strategy is that quite a number of article directories have high page ranks. We're talking about PR4, PR5, and on occasion, PR7 websites! Having a link to your own website in a website which has a high page rank would give a significant boost to your own pages' search engine standing!

All seems terrific with article marketing, but as with everything else, there are growing concerns as to its real value.

Let's take a look at five of the most common questions which are asked about article marketing...

If I submit the same article to many article directories, won't it violate a search engine's policy against duplicate content?

No, it won't. Since we're dealing with high ranking websites, the search engines would assume that the submitted content is their original work. This is the reason why a lot of article directories are pretty confident about the articles they display. The problem that they encounter, really, is with regards to the credibility of their services.

They don't want to be known as a repository of junk content, that's why they have outlawed the posting of PLR articles as well as articles full of affiliate links.

If you always submit quality, informative content that readers are looking for, youll never have a cause for concern.

Does this mean that I could submit articles which I have already posted in my own web pages?

You need to take care here. The search engines will assume that the higher ranking websites are the originators of the content, your web pages would be distinguished as duplicates, and this could possibly lead to the de-indexing of your website or, at least, that particular article page. You wouldn't want this to happen.

========SIDEBAR========
Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing in general isn't as easy as many would have us believe. I fully understand (through my own experiences) that it is a lot easier said than done. However, you are here, right now, because you have a desire to improve your business, grow your business, and be more successful. These articles are here with the sole intention of helping you to make the whole process a lot easier.
======END SIDEBAR======

Can I submit as many articles as possible to as many article directories as possible?

Yes, you could! In fact, this is very much advised, to build up your link popularity and secure for your website a great page rank.

However, please bear in mind that search engines, and Google in particular, become quite wary about a website that suddenly experiences a great increase in the number of its back links. It is advised that from the outset, you decide how many articles you can submit and at what intervals, then stick to it. Consistency is the key here.

Does article marketing really work?

Yes, definitely, article marketing does work! If your article's page views remain in low levels, ask yourself

  • Is your article title compelling or intriguing enough to want to read the whole article?
  • Is the actual content of your article interesting enough? Does it cater to a wide audience?
  • Is your article informative enough to consider recommendation?
  • Is your article readable enough to give your audience an easy time in digesting the information you want to share?

These are the factors that contribute to low page views. Doing some necessary editing to correct these problems will dramatically increase the number of times your article will be viewed.

Additionally, some article directories really attract a few visitors only. But the popular ones like www.ezinearticles.com , www.goarticles.com, www.articledashboard and www.isnare.com should give you hundreds of readers in a month's time.

How sure can I be that my article and resource box will be kept intact by people who will use it in their own websites or Ezines?

Unfortunately, you can never be sure. This is why you have to run your own check from time to time. Search for unique phrases in your article, and click on the results. Determine if the webmaster honored your resource box. If he or she did not, you could ask them to include the resource box, or you could file a complaint with the article directory so that they themselves could act on the matter. As always, Persistence and Vigilance are the keys.

Article Marketing - Why Should I Give Articles Away?

Spend my valuable time writing articles only to give them away? Why would I want to do that?

If you believe that the articles that you write should only be shown on your site you are missing the whole point of Article Marketing. Article Marketing is the process of writing articles and submitting them to article directories for others to use free of charge. To some that may sound somewhat counter productive. Take it from me it is one of the best ways to increase traffic flow to your website. More traffic equals more profit

Publishing your own articles on your blog, website or in your newsletter is not enough. You need to have your name and website link spread across the web. Article Marketing can and will do that for you.

When you contribute articles to the article directories you will be give a resource box. In this resource box you can inform the reader of who you are, what you do, and where your website can be found. As part of the agreement with the article directories publishers may not remove or alter the resource box.

If you limit your article to being published on your own site the only people who will see your articles are the ones that somehow get to your site. There are literally millions of other sites out there who have visitors and these visitors have no idea who you are. Writing articles and allowing others to use them allows your name and website link to be seen by huge number prospective buyers.

With each article you write more links are created which lead back to your website. When a publisher chooses to include your article on their website, ezine, or newsletter more links are created. More links back to your website can result in higher search engine ranking. With higher ranking comes even more traffic.

Yes you should be writing articles and giving them away left and right. In fact you should be writing them as fast as you possibly can, submitting them to article directories, and being rewarded in more traffic.

How To Boost Your Search Engine Rankings (Where To Concentrate Your Energy)

Most people are astonished at the cost of using search engine optimization companies. These companies often charge thousands of dollars just to manage your search engine campaigns. The truth is, it doesn't require rocket science to catapult your website up the rankings.

There are two main things you should know about SEO - onsite optimization and offsite optimization. Onsite optimization refers to customizing your site so that it is more search engine friendly. Offsite optimization refers to the building of backlinks (incoming links) to your website.

Many experts regard offsite optimization as being a more important factor to getting super high rankings. A site which doesn't 'tick all the boxes' but has sufficient quality incoming links will rank very well on Google or Yahoo.

So really you should concentrate your energy on building backlinks to your website. Quantity and quality are the key here. You'd want as many links from as many relevant websites as possible. If the site that is linking to yours is not relevant, then the 'linking power' of the incoming link will not be as strong as from a website that covers a topic similar to yours. Search engines like Google or Yahoo want to provide relevant content to their users, and that is why this is the case.

Some ways to boost your number of backlinks include posting in forums, using social bookmarking sites to create incoming links, creating blogs (which are viewed as authority sites) and writing articles. Those are some highly effective ways to get a stream of juicy backlinks.

Internet Marketing Using Articles - How Do You Generate Income From Articles?

What is it about articles that attract so many to publish so much content to the net? Mainly it would be for one of three reasons, the first being that you have absolutely nothing better to do with your time. That is not entirely true but fact is that there are many people writing and publishing articles to websites and article directories simply to share information and knowledge.

The other two reasons are web site related. If you are a webmaster of an established site or your own newly self appointed webmaster of your own website aiming for the internet so you can kick your boss under the butt, the following would be your primary reasons for writing and publishing articles.

From a broader perspective the internet is filled with information contained in a variety of formats. Now those looking for the information use the search engines, quite logical. For the people who have the information published on their sites this is where the trick comes in. The search engines need to find that content and display it as a search result so that the visitor will land on the page of the publisher.

For a webmaster this means traffic and in turn traffic means money. The money can be generated from different avenues but without the traffic there will be no income.

The role of the article, first and foremost is links. Any site that has any hope of getting indexed by the search engines needs links pointing to it. The second reason is sales, at times also referred to as bum marketing, it is a proven method of creating sales and thus generating income using the internet.

Indexing Your Site Using Internet Marketing Articles

For any site to feature in the search engine rankings it needs links pointing to the site telling the search engines that there is a site. The link in the article normally placed in the resource box of the author is the anchor text, these words or key phrases are telling the search engine the content of the site that is linked to and that it should be ranked for those words. For the webmaster these are very important elements in generating traffic.

A site is judged on the links from other sites pointing to that site, the more links a site has the more highly regarded it becomes. This is a very broad description and many other factors play a role but for the purpose of articles these are the basic principals.

Using Internet Marketing Articles to Sell Products

The next very good use of articles is for what is sometimes lovingly referred to as bum marketing. You don't need to be a bum to use this method but it sometimes helps, on second thought, maybe not. In most cases you would not even need a website of your own but your own site would open up some doors to other forms of marketing like list building.

The principals remain the same as for indexing a site but the purpose of the article changes. The content and writing style is aimed at leading the visitor to a product he might be looking for and then sells the product to him. If you are an affiliate for a product the sales page would do the selling part, you just need to get the visitor to the sales page.

Many webmasters and non webmasters have used this technique successfully for a long time now. The problem you are faced with here however is the article itself, how to write it in such a way that you keep the readers interest and move him on to the next step which is clicking on the link leading to the pre sales page or the sales page itself.

Just publishing any old article will not achieve any success and it takes some real time and effort to learn the skills and the little nuances needed to write in such a way until it becomes second nature. Of course this does require practice, repetition and some experimentation.

If you want to write to sell, even if you have never written anything but a love letter before, in which case you sold yourself of course, here is a resource that will guide you through the process of successful writing to sell. If you have been struggling to get the results you are only reading about, now is the time to get what you need to succeed.

Article Marketing - Latest 5 Challenging Steps to Energize Your Article Marketing

A lot of online entrepreneurs and marketers have made article marketing as their primary marketing tool because of one, simple obvious reason: it delivers! It can easily drive quality traffic to your website, help you position yourself as a key person in your chosen industry, and increase your sales potential and online profits in no time.

Here are the latest 5 challenging steps to energize your article marketing:

1. Optimize your content. Learn how to please various search engines so they will properly index your articles. This can be done by identifying the keywords that play crucial roles in your target niche and using them all throughout your content. You must also be familiar with appropriate keyword density so you will not be tagged as a keyword abuser or spammer.

2. Your articles must be easy to understand. Don't leave your readers puzzled or wondering what you are trying to get across after they have read your articles. They must be able to understand your ideas by just reading your articles once so you will not waste their time. Avoid using offbeat acronyms or unfamiliar terms all throughout your content. Instead, stick with simple terms that are usually being used by your readers so they can easily understand your message.

3. Make each word work for you. Make sure that all the words you use in your content can help you educate your readers or make them understand your points. If any of the words do not serve this purpose, they are considered fillers and they must be removed from your articles to make them concise and direct to the point.

4. Use anchor texts on your resource box. Based on researches and various studies, people online respond better to anchor texts compare to absolute URLs because they are usually based on relevant keywords that readers can easily identify with. Take advantage of this and use up to two anchor texts on your resource box to easily increase your conversion rate.

5. Insert a powerful call to action on your resource box. Direct your readers to act on your favor by learning the art of persuasion. Do you want them to visit your website, sign-up on your email marketing list, or fill-up a survey for you? Whatever it is that you would like them to do for you, communicate it directly by using powerful words that can evoke action.

Article Marketing Tips - Three Power Tips To Boost Your Article Marketing Results

It's no longer a secret that article marketing is one of the best ways to drive laser targeted traffic to your website.

And best of all, it's free. The only investment you need to make is "time". Now if you really want to boost your results, then use the following tips that are sure to help.

Article Marketing Tip #1 - Keep your article short and to the point.

Through my testing, I've found that 250-350 word articles work the best. The reason being, they are easier to read which results in the reader actually reading your entire article and clicking you resource box at the end.

Just make sure your article is packed full of solid, useful information just like the one you are reading now.

Article Marketing Tip #2 - Make sure your article title is very catchy and creates interest for people to want to read it.

This is a mistake many beginners make.

You need to make sure your article title creates the desire to be read. Spend some time just coming up with great article titles to get the best results.

Article Marketing Tip #3 - You must write and submit a bare minimum of two articles per day to the top article directory.

Currently, the best article directory is ezinearticles.com Again, to get the maximum results you need to keep writing and submitting every day.

With a minimum of two articles per day, you will have 40 articles per month if you write 5 days per week. These article marketing tips are the best you're going to find, so read them and put them to good use.

There are many different kinds of SEO companies and given that everyone has different needs you need to find a company that works for you. Many people find themselves deceived by so called "SEO" firms; never obtaining the front page ranking they were promised. This often leaves them with a bad taste for any and all things SEO. In Utah where there are numerous SEO firms many individuals find themselves suckered into these promised rankings. But aside from the few bad apples SEO is an effective and valuable science.

Different types of SEO companies

Every company has a different business model and overall strategy. Like in most other fields of business one an industry becomes over saturated with supply businesses must break off and begin to specialize in order to secure market share. As you research you will find that many companies offer comprehensive services and many offer only few specialized services. For those with little time or attention to give a broad "one stop shop" SEO company might be the way to go. However if you need a lot of high quality links it may be more purposeful to hire a link building company or team.

Management

The biggest thing to watch out for is the attentiveness of the SEO firm you are looking into. A common problem is that smaller companies' get lesser treatment because they cannot dish out the big bucks major companies' can and therefore there are not worth as much time. A good SEO company is one that responds to you quickly, answers your phone calls and is even willing to let you visit the office.

In large part the way an SEO company is managed reflects the type of results you as a client will get. Since the SEO industry is new there are not a lot of standards and best practices when it comes to executive level decisions and problems. In major tech areas like California, New York or Utah this is less of concern though since the more talented individuals and companies are drawn to this area. Most Utah SEO companies do not struggle with best practices since taltned individuals flock to that area.

Research

The best way to screen your SEO company is to put forth some due diligence. Researching and comparing various policies, services and websites can help you decide which company looks the most credible and will provide the absolute best services for your dollar. It is best to start looking for a firm in your area since you can meet face to face and have a physical location to go in case things go awry. Make sure you have made a final decision before committing to anything financial or otherwise.

Reciprocal Link Building

It is widely accepted that throwing out reciprocal links to any old website is not the best choice for quality internet marketing; however link exchange when done correctly will drive QUALITY web traffic and support the search engines, which aids in the overall ranking.

The tip to take away is choosing carefully! Link to a website that is in a so called bad neighbourhood and you run the risk of damaging your web brand! Exchange a link with a website that exchanges with countless other websites and you loose the value of the link exchange; it will do more harm than good.

Creating a support network around your website is the key, whether that be reciprocal or one way, the point is receiving quality traffic is what we are all after!

During the early days of setting up a website, attracting quality web links can be tricky. When a web master gives you a link, they actually give you some of their precious link juice. Something that they have worked hard to achieve!

With the above in mind, even reciprocal linking can be a challenge, for example what benefit does a website with a Google rank of five receive by exchanging a link with a one?

Swapping links with selected websites when done right is a bonus. Even if you exchange with a website that also has a zero page rank. Providing the website in question offers value and wins over your trust, the likely hood is their rank will creep up, before you know it the long term benefit outweighs the short.

When apply for link exchange, keep it personal and do your research, that is know why you are linking to a particular website. Before you ask for a link as a good will gestures add their link with some text about their website and the benefits that their website offers to your community, after which simply contact the web master in question explaining that you have put a link on your web pages kindly ask them to reciprocate listing the benefits.

Final note, check your links on a regular basis and ensure that all your links are active. It does not look good your visitors if your links don't work, further the search engines spiders will also be made aware when you have inactive links. Never a good thing! Happy linking!

Best Link Popularity - The Best Link Popularity Strategy

Increasing site traffic, visibility, and profitability are the main goals of implementing the best link popularity strategies existing in the market for your online business.

Currently, Google shares one of the best link popularity strategies to use which is to be a pro-active online marketer. This means you make sure that you are visible where ever you need to be by submitting your website's link to or having link exchanges with various websites with high traffic.

Take note that the websites you have link with should have high traffic, which is deemed that the website is an important site by search engines as many people visit it. This means that the sites you hook up with are quality sites, and in a way, through link backs, makes you a quality site as well. If you are a quality site, your ranking increases in search engines.

In short, by being pro-active in increasing your website's visibility efficiently, search engines will follow in increasing your visibility in results. The expected outcome will follow: increased traffic to your website and higher possibility of earning a sale!

Your strategy for link popularity shouldn't stop in being pro-active in the submission of links. It should be followed in submitting articles about your business, products/service, and industry to the websites you have submitted your links to or have a link exchange program with.

These articles should be well "referenced" such that links going back to your website, where the same article is posted, are included at its end. This link you put at the end of your article will now server as the referrer for search engines to follow. Make sure you submit articles often to continuously increase your ranking and site traffic. Have a blog as well, even if it contains a listing of all the articles you've made already and have available in your website.

The blog should contain the same articles you've submitted to websites for your link popularity strategy to increase your visibility in the Web.

The Basics of Link Building

Link building is a process wherein there is a creation of inbound links to your own site. This is possible through reciprocal links, when your site is listed or posted in e-zines, through newsletters, search engines, directories and, other methods. When a website owner builds a link, he increases the importance of his site, thus, increasing his rank in search engines.

If you do not know anything about link building, it can prove to be a very difficult task, especially if you base it on human effort. There are a lot of methods from which you can use to build your link. However, you should put into consideration some reminders before you build a link:

link building is utilized only as an ethical purpose, in order to direct web visitors to helpful and important information. This should not be put for the purpose of making your site popular.

You can sell, buy or trade your links for free. When you are creative and you think of innovative ways, this will provide you with a lot of links. No matter the strategy you choose, do it right away before your competitors do.

When you build a link for your site, do not do it for search engine metrics or algorithms. You should put into consideration the users of your site, the adaptation of search engines will follow.

Upgrade your links constantly. You should be up to date since, the preference of users, search engines, and businesses change.

Concentrate on permanent links.

If you want to gain more information on link building, you should conduct a research with the help of informative articles. The more you think about the usefulness of your links, the more you will be able to come up with creative ideas.

The main purpose of the links that you will be building is for the use of web visitors. When your links are proven to be of much importance and help to the users, the popularity of your website follows. When you build your link, it should not be the other way around. It should not be - gain popularity with search engines, and then cater to the needs of web users. This kind of perception should be avoided by link builders.

Link Popularity

Link popularity is also known as link building, link exchanging, inbound links etc. It refers to the quality and quantity of incoming links to your site. It is a very important part of the search engine optimization process and plays an important role for getting high search engine rankings on specific keywords.

It is not enough to go for quantity of inbound links when building high link popularity. The quality of inbound links is much more important than quantity for getting that high link popularity. In other words, having a lower number of quality inbound links is more valuable than having a large quantity of poor links in for SEO.

Generally there are three types of link exchanging one way link, reciprocal link and triangular. One way linking is the process of getting inbound links without having to give a link back. Free directory submission, article submission, blogs, and forums are the best sources of getting one way links to your sites. Reciprocal linking is the process of both giving and receiving a link. In a reciprocal link exchange, you put your link partners link on a page within your web site, and in return, your link partner will also link to you from his or her web site.

One-way links are more valuable in terms of page rank than reciprocal links, but it is very hard to get one-way links from web sites with a high Google Page Rank. Although directory submission is the easiest way to get one-way links, they do not hold the kind of value as receiving a one-way link from a site with a high Page Rank. The reason for this mostly has to do with the fact that in order to submit your web site to a category that is relevant to your sites contents, you have to bury your link more than 2 categories deep in the directory. For example, if you have USA based SEO sites, you would submit your site in: main/ computer/ internet/ word wide web / SEO/ USA. This means your link is not indexed until after 5 clicks from the directorys main page. The further away your link is from the directorys main page, the harder it will be for search engine spiders to crawl and index it. This drawback is not experienced with reciprocal link exchanging though, which is the reason most webmasters generally suggest reciprocal link exchanges in addition to one-way link exchange.

It is important to consider some basic things during reciprocal link exchanging in order to truly capitalize on the potential benefits. The following are some tips to consider when it comes to reciprocal link exchanging:

  • Link exchanging must be between relevant sites. Link exchange between non related sites might negatively affect the ranking of your websites in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs)
  • Avoid triangular, or 3- way link exchanges.
  • Link pages should not be more than 2 clicks from the sites index page.
  • The reciprocating page must be indexed in Google as well as other search engines.
  • Pay careful consideration to the meta tags of your links page. The links page should have proper meta tags and must be related to the your sites keywords.
  • Use appropriate anchor text with relevant keywords when exchanging links with other sites.
  • Also check no index, no follow tag on the reciprocating pages meta tags. If you find such this type of tag being used in the meta tags, then avoid exchanging links with those sites.

Essential Article Marketing Guide

These are the absolutely imperative items you must include in your bio box:

Authors Name: its absolutely amazing how many people forget to put their name in this box, this should be the very first thing you actually write

The website url: you must put in the website address for the product or service you are selling, for example, http://www.veretekmarketing.co.uk

An Elevator Pitch: this is where you put you USP (unique selling point), the main benefits to the product or service you are selling o A Call To Action: This is where you have to get your reader / prospect to do something, i.e. go to your website a buy from you.

Below are some extra items you are welcome to include in your bio box

Your business Contact Information: Such as your business phone number or how to reach you for interviews or your press/media kit. Keep in mind that article marketing is a timeless strategy and you may not have an easy ability to retract what you put in your article once it hits major distribution.

A Free Report: offer something free to the reader / prospect, this will entice them further to go to your website and BUY!

An anchor URL that is related to one keyword or the keyword phrase that you would like to build SEO strength for. Example: if I wanted to build search engine relevance/strength for the term "Article Marketing," I'd link up that term in my resource box to my website. This is an intermediate to advanced level strategy and should not be abused by over-doing it. Keep it simple.

A few things you definitely should not include in your bio box:

Listing every single website that you own, this will seriously decrease any credibility that you may have spent time building up.

Telling your reader / prospect about every major accomplishment you have made, to be quite frank the reader / prospect does not care!

Never advertise products or services that aren't related to the topic / article you are writing about.

As a general rule of the thumb your bio box should not exceed more than 20% of the article its self, all too often authors make their bio box up t 50% of their article

My final conclusion to your bio box:

When writing your article remember the main body of it is where you get to "give" information to your reader / prospect, the bio box is where you will get to "take" information from your reader / prospect.

High Search Engine Rankings - What It Can Mean To Your Website

In recent years, traffic has been increasing to the Internet - with people visiting and creating websites every day. In 2005, statistics showed that over 1 billion people used the World Wide Web. Internet users also reported spending twice as much time on the Internet as they did watching TV. As people are spending more and more time on the Internet, they are also spending more money. Consumers spent $143.2 billion on online purchases in 2005.

Increased online spending means that businesses have the opportunity for increased profit. This means that it is essential for online businesses to market their websites. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of the most important marketing techniques to understand when running a website, and advertising is obliviously one of the most important aspects in running a business. Marketing is essential to extending your business, products, or services to new customers. It may seem as if advertising can get very expensive, but when running an online business, it is important to understand the amount of free advertising that is available on the web. Search Engine Optimization is a form of free online advertising.

Online search engines, such as Google or AOL, are programmed to rank websites according to a complex formula that determines which websites are most relevant to the search. What Search Engine Optimization does is take the time to organize your website so it will rank among the top sites for certain relevant searches. It is easy to see how important optimal search engine rankings are for your site once you realize how much Internet users actually rely on search engines.

A recent study concluded that 80 percent of Internet users use search engines to find new web sites. This translates to approximately 650 people regularly using search engines. Often search engine users do not bother to read beyond the first few results and they almost defiantly do not read past the first page. Having great search engine rankings opens up your website to an entire group of Internet traffic that otherwise might not ever see it.

The best way to ensure that your website gets excellent search engine rankings is to hire a company who specializes in it. SEO is complicated and it is always changing. This makes it very difficult for online business owners to try to maintain their results on their own. Business owners who chose to do their own Search Engine Optimization will likely have trouble competing with the websites that use an experienced company. Spending a lot of time on your SEO instead of your online business can be distracting. You can do it, but your rankings will not grow as fast.

Using a Search Engine Optimization company will help to drastically increase the traffic to your website. Search engine users are some of the most motivated users that will ever visit your site, so you want to make sure that they can easily find it. SEO will do just that for your website! Take some time to find an SEO firm and watch the hits on your site begin to increase!

Organic SEO Through Content Distribution

Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) seems to be the buzzword these days. What is organic SEO? In its simplest explanation, organic SEO is publicity through content distribution. All your incoming links originate from content you created for your website or blog. And boy, search engines love this kind of linking structure.

Marketing through articles is organic Search Engine Optimisation. Your article and the link in your author's resource box generate incoming links from other niche websites related to yours.

Good quality original content will generate incoming links and drive targeted web traffic to your website fast. This is the kind of activity search engines love, and would in turn lead to higher web page ranking and increase in web traffic.

Writing Articles

This is an effective way of gaining publicity for yourself and your site. Write about your experiences, expertise, hobbies or passion. As a rule of thumb, keep your articles at about 400 to 700 words in length. The issue is not the length of the article. It is the quality of it. But for a start, it is good to adhere to the rule of thumb.

Tips on effective use of articles

Before you start to write, do a research on keyword phrases related to your topic of interest. There are a few free online webmasters' tools you could utilize (nichebot.com, wordtracker trial). Normally, the top ranked keyword phrases are highly competitively. A top ranked keyword with little or zero competition is a rare find these days. Go for the middle ranked keyword phrase. After all, your goal is to be found on the first page of SERP for your selected keyword phrase.

Include your keyword phrase in your article title and repeat your keyword phrase at least once or twice in the body of your article. You may also want to use sparingly and strategically a variation of your keyword phrase or terms related to it. You may notice in this article I use SEO and Search Engine Optimization, which are interchangeable terms but to the search engines they are variations. I also use search engines and webmasters which are terms related to SEO.

Using a variation of your keyword phrase and terms related to it makes your article more relevant to your topic. With such an arrangement, chances are you may score well at the search engines for more than one keyword phrase.

Post your articles on your site, blog and article directories. Spreading your content all over the web is a fast way to get website visitors. I submit my articles to ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and articlealley.com. These article directories work well for me. Their high rankings at the search engines give me good publicity.

Other webmasters related to your niche will pick up your high quality articles and link to your web page through your author's resource box. This is an organic way of growing incoming links. Major search engines like Google look favorably on organically grown one-way links, and reward you.

Most webmasters archived articles for 1 or 2 years because this is a quick way to increase content and the size of their websites. So you can be assured of incoming links for at least 1 or 2 years.

It would be worth your time and effort to write or to hire someone to write keyword rich articles and distribute them over the web. The results can be astounding at times.
