Residual Income: The Key To Making A Full Time Online Income

For many online marketers earning a full time income is the ultimate goal. It is not an easy task but it can be accomplished as long as you apply this one simple strategy along with all your hard work. You will discover what most savvy marketers already know, the major key to making a full time income is quite obvious: "Residual Income".

Just as the name states, residual income means you make one sale and you earn follow up income automatically for months, years or sometimes even for decades after you make the initial sale. It almost sounds too good to be true but residual income does exist and thousands of online marketers are reaping the rewards.

It is a pure marketing strategy which makes perfect business sense. Why utilize all your marketing resources to make one sale and receive one payment, when you can just as easily use the same resources to make a sale and then receive repeat payments for years down the road? The beauty of residual income comes from being rewarded for your hard efforts again and again. One sale can equal long term income for years.

The Internet makes earning residual income possible for everyone. Stay at home moms, the college student, the part-time worker... you name it, anyone can earn a residual income on the Internet.

Why is this now possible?

Because the Internet has opened up a whole stampede of companies and services looking for clients and customers. Services that once were only offered locally before the advent of the web, but are now being offered globally to a world wide consumer base.

Unfortunately, as many companies have discovered, the competition has also increased a million fold as this new marketplace has opened up. Competition for acquiring clients and customers has become a lot stiffer mainly because companies don't just have to compete locally anymore but globally. It's the new global economy.

With competition so fierce many companies and businesses will offer a premium reward for anyone who can acquire or find clients/customers for their company's products and services. Many will even offer residual income for as long as the client or account stays with that company.

Enter the Affiliate Marketer: You!

Affiliate marketing is tailor made for the Internet. Millions of webmasters have millions of sites attracting millions of visitors each day. These sites relate to a particular niche or subject matter that attract targeted visitors interested in the same topic. All any webmaster has to do is join an affiliate program related to their site's topic and promote this affiliate company or business to their visitors.

Just connect the Dots.

The smart webmaster or online marketer will only seek out affiliate programs or companies which will give them residual payments for finding clients or accounts for those company's services or products. This marketing strategy has proven very lucrative for those webmasters/marketers who are taking advantage of these residual revenue streams.

Here are some pointers on how to make this strategy work to your advantage.

* Affiliate Networks. Use very reputable Affiliate Networks like Commission Junction, LinkShare, ShareaSale... these programs offer a whole range of Top 500 companies that you can promote. I find CJ and LinkShare to be extremely reliable, with excellent tracking and prompt payment.

* Private Deals. However, the most lucrative rewards and residual income can come with private or individual deals you make with a particular company. My experience, if you manage to attain top rankings for the top keywords in a particular industry these companies will come to you with a private deal. Your job is to acquire or find clients/accounts for that company and receive a commission or percentage of all revenue this client generates for the life of that account.

* Smaller Companies. Sometimes it is the smaller less known company in your particular industry or niche that will offer the best deal. It may be harder to promote a lesser known company but the rewards may even be greater.

* Cookies. Keep in mind, another version of residual income is the good old cookie; you refer a customer to a company and this customer is cookied with your affiliate id... any sales made from your cookied referral will earn you money. Check the length of these cookies, some are 24 hours, 90 days... the longer the better. I seek out companies which give life-long cookies, they are rare but they do exist!

* Major Point: The key to picking the best affiliate programs for residual income is picking companies that offer services like web hosting, phone services, cable services, marketing services... anything that people sign-up for and then rarely change. This will earn you a monthly commission for as long as they use this service. I am presently earning commissions on sales I made 4 or 5 years ago.

* Use PPC. Pay Per Click advertising can be a very effective way of kick-starting your residual income if you know what you're doing. This form of advertising can get very costly very quickly so proceed with caution. I found even with a low conversion rate and a high cost per click charge you can bid higher with a residual income affiliate program because it is not a one time sale. You can afford to outbid your competition, but don't try for the number one position; I have found the best place to have your PPC ad is in the third spot.

* Never Put All Your Eggs In One Basket. Don't just promote one affiliate company or service, instead spread your marketing over difference services and companies to earn multiple streams of residual income from different sources. If one should dry up, you will have plenty of others to rely on. Besides, getting 10 or 20 monthly checks will always put a smile on your face. Trust me!

Of course, there are many more factors involved in producing a full time residual online income but these points will help get you started in the right direction. Don't get the wrong impression, this income won't just suddenly appear, you do have to do some hard work marketing and promoting your chosen affiliate companies or services to make the initial sales. But the rewards are very sweet, and they just keep coming and coming and coming...

Amazing Article Marketing - Revealed - 4 Rewarding Ways to Amplify Your Article Marketing

Webmasters are constantly looking for a marketing tool that can effectively promote their products and services so they can augment their sales. They also want a tried and tested method that will drive traffic to their site without spending too much on advertising cost. Good thing article marketing was discovered to meet these needs and more. If you are one of the wise webmasters who are currently using this traffic-generating tool, these 4 rewarding ways are for you so you can better amplify your article marketing campaign:

1. Plan ahead. When launching an article marketing campaign, you need to create a workable plan so you can do all the tasks that are associated with this method. Know when to write articles and how many articles you will submit everyday. Also, identify the topics that you will write about and know where to get your resources.

2. Know how you can customize your articles. They must be customized to meet the requirements of most publishing sites. Thus, you must know that you have to avoid keyword stuffing, inappropriate content, too many hyperlinks, and blatant advertisements so your articles will not be rejected once you have submitted them.

3. Match your desired traffic with the number of your submissions. If you are aiming at getting huge traffic from this technique, you must be willing to write more articles so you can get numerous links back to you website. Remember, the success of your article marketing campaign does not only depend on the quality of your articles but on the quantity as well.

4. Provide your readers with useful, valuable content. The quality of your articles must be one of your top priorities when you engage in this marketing technique. It is, after all, the main reason why online users will read your articles. So, in order to succeed in this method, make sure that your articles are interesting, informative, and engaging.

Article Marketing For Targeted Traffic Online

Article marketing has become one of my favorite forms of traffic generation, because of the targeted nature of the traffic it produces. You see, it is not extremely important to me to get tons of traffic, if that traffic is not targeted, and does not need what I have to offer.

When I first got started online, I used article marketing to generate search engine listing, and became very quickly number one for several different keywords.

The problem with those keywords, though, was that they were low volume keywords. My guess is that if they had been high volume keywords the strategy would be almost impossible. So the bottom line is, I wasnt getting traffic from those keywords. A little, but not enough to go full time online! And I needed a full time income online.

But the craziest thing happened I started testing groups of article directories, and finding that certain groups of directories pulled much higher responses like 100 times the response of other groups. So I continued breaking them down into smaller and smaller groups until I came up with like a big three and the results are phenomenal! I am getting as much response per article as I was submitting to 100 directories so I have been able to take that free time and put it to use writing more articles. I challenge you to do the same thing I think you will find that if you are only submitting to the big three that your article marketing efforts will be much increased! That is exactly what I do and I find that the targeted nature of the traffic makes it much more responsive.

Article Income Secrets - How to Re-Purpose Your 7 Tips Article into a Mini-Guide

Do you know how to repurpose your 7 tips article, or any article, into a mini-guide? Read on to discover and use this important repurposing strategy.

What's a mini-guide?

What's a mini guide? A mini guide is another name for a short report. That's what I was calling them for a while and then one of my students, Lynne Lee, another person from the U.K., gave it the name of mini guide and I like that better. It just sort of flows better.

When you've written a 3, 5, or 7 tips article and then go in and write an article about each tip - let's say you've got 7 tips and you write more on each tip, so you've got 7 articles, put those all in one document and that's a mini guide. Or your list of maybe 25 tips or 50 tips can be a mini guide that you can sell anywhere between $10-20 on the internet.

It doesn't sound like a whole lot and you're not going to get rich off of those, unless someone buys millions, but it's a start and I still love it when I get emails from students and members that say,

"Hey, I sold my first e-book! I've never been so excited over $17."

It's a beginning, it's a starting point. This is very important because someone has just demonstrated buying behavior and they're on your list, so it's a good thing. It's a good thing because it is much easier to sell something to someone who has already bought than to try to convert a brand new prospect into a customer.

This is one of the easiest products to create from a simple 7 tips article.

Article Marketing - How to Track Your Success

Writing articles and submitting them to article directories, and ezine publishers takes a great deal of investment therefore you need to track them to determine their effectiveness.

Methods to track the success of your article marketing

Article directories

Most article directories (ie EzineArticles) display the number of visitors your article received. If you've written many articles you can quickly see which ones received the most visitors and/or comments.

Google

Enter your article title (with quotes) in the Google search box with quotes surrounding it. This shows all places your article appears on the Net. Before writing your content enter the title in Google first to make sure you are not duplicating someone else's article otherwise you will see their articles listed among yours.

Backlinks

Your resource box contains the URL to your web site. When your article gets distributed to other sites you receive incoming links from them. If you enter: Enter site:www.domain.com in Yahoo, it will display all the incoming links you have gained from other sites.

Site Statistics

Your web hosting service includes statistics for your web site. The stats reveal where your traffic is coming from. It displays the number of hits, visitors, external links, referrers (urls of people visiting your site) keywords and keyword phrases entered in the search engines. After submitting several articles for distribution, monitor your statistics. New keyword phrases that appear in your statistics can be used to produce new articles.

Tracking URLs

I've left this method last because I don't highly recommend it but it gives very detailed stats if you use an adtracker i.e., adtrackz. Set up a tracking URL in your ad tracking software that monitors the number of hits your article receives. There is only one problem with this method..if you stop tracking the article your visitor will receive a broken link when they click the URL in your resource box. Search engines do not spider broken links.

By investing a some time tracking your articles, you determine what sites are not producing results. Submit articles consistently to distribution sites to keep receiving traffic. Overtime you will see a steady increase in visitors.

Information About Article Marketing - An Overview of a Process That Really Works!

Information about article marketing - If you're looking for any kind of information about Article Marketing today, you've probably had no luck finding a process that really works.

Well, the information about article marketing that I'm going to give you in this article really does work. And I'll spell it out for you, FREE!

Most information about article marketing consists of a plan that probably involves a variation of the process (information about article marketing ) that I use and recommend:

1) You find the niche market that you're going to target.

2) You do keyword research to evaluate your market to make certain it's viable and profitable.

3) You put together a basic website.

4) You start writing articles based around certain keyword phrases you've targeted in Step #2.

5) You add new pages to your website written around the different keyword phrase in Step #4.

6) You rewrite the article and then submit the new version of the article to a number of Article Directories where it will quickly draw Google's attention because, for whatever reason, Google loves these particular 7 Article Directories (hence the name "Big 7").

=================================================

Quick Tip: Step #6 is essential to your plan of attack (the information about how to improve your article marketing). However, you'll find it takes a lot of time & effort to submit your articles to the "Big 7". That's one reason I developed my software "Your Article Marketing Assistant". It makes the tedious parts of the process as easy as possible. It turns a tedious (but necessary) process into a "Semi-Automatic" process that gives you the control that purely manual article submissions do along with some automated processes that make the process faster & easier! You'll get the best of both worlds!

=================================================

7) After creating a number of articles and submitting them to the "Big 7", you then start submitting the website itself to a number of Website Directories that accept submissions.

Here's the theory behind all of this information about article marketing in a nutshell.

You want your website to show up in the Natural Search Engines Ranking Pages (SERPs) of the Big Three Search Engines (Google, Yahoo! And MSN).

Gaining Incoming Links will make your website more & more visible in the Natural SERPs which is what we are after. Incoming Links are one way links that are on other websites that point towards your Home Page. Links that you trade with other websites are called "Reciprocal Links" and while they're good, especially from other websites in your niche market, they're not considered to be as good as pure Incoming (one way) Links.

Steps #4 & #5 combine to do a number of things. The "Big 7" that I suggest submitting your articles to are recognized very strongly and quickly by all three of the major Search Engines. One of the things accomplished by Steps #4 & #5 is to gain Incoming Links from very well respected sources.

The entire point of Step #7 is to begin getting a massive amount of Incoming Links pointing towards the Home Page of your website. The more links you can get, the better - hence use of the term "Massive".

=================================================

Quick Tip: You'll find Step #7 to be labor-intensive and boring. That's why I developed "Your Article Marketing Assistant" - to make the process faster & easier!

My software makes it quick & painless to submit your website to almost 500 Website Directories and it's not done in a way to make it seem like an automated submission (most Website Directories frown on automatic submissions.) Our package is a "Semi-Automatic" method that combines the attention to detail that you get with purely manual submissions while automating the task a bit to make it much, much faster and easier.

=================================================

Article Marketing (done properly the way I've suggested) is one of the most powerful SEO techniques in use today, the end of February 2007.

When coupled with Website Submission to the directories I suggest (the 2nd prong of this powerful 2-Pronged Attack Plan, you have one of the most powerful strategies for quickly and easily getting a website indexed in the Natural SERPs being employed today!

Implementing Traceable Marketing Strategies For Long - Term Business Success

Many entrepreneurs view advertising and marketing as the "unknown" side of their business operations, the part that can be neither tracked nor measured. Oftentimes this attitude leads to tremendous financial waste, as business owners frequently pour marketing dollars into advertising activities that may or may not translate into increased sales.

Small businesses like car care providers often believe that they can generate high visibility through expensive marketing campaigns that include television, radio, and newspaper advertising. Believing that "if more people know about my business, more people will visit my business," car care business owners bombard potential customers with advertisements and special discount offersand then sit back and wait for more customers to start rolling in. Unfortunately, those customers almost never materialize.

John Wanamaker, considered by many to be the father of modern advertising, once said: "half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is that I don't know which half." Much like many car care business owners, Wanamaker believed advertising to be an esoteric entity that could not be focused nor measured. Well, Johnnie, times have changed.

We live in a world that is saturated by media coverage. Hundreds of channels offer us the widest selection of programmingand advertisementsever available, and marketers pay well to compete for the attention of consumers. The average cost of placing a television advertisement is on the rise, and once you have added in the cost of producing, editing, and pitching the advertisement, the total cost can be overwhelming. Couple the initial costs of television advertising with the fact that its marketing results are often not traceable and traditional advertising begins to seem less like a smart business decision and more like a quick route to bankruptcy.

So what's a small business owner to do? Focus on providing quality service and hope word-of-mouth does the rest? While positive word-of-mouth is an inexpensiveand importantway to drive customers to your business, word-of-mouth alone will not ensure your business's success. Luckily, tried-and-tested direct response marketing strategies are as effective in the 21st century as they have been in the past, and will help you to put your business on the fast track to success.

Measurable Marketing for Measurable Results

Measurable marketing strategies can help boost your business's sales and create repeat customers that will function as dependable revenue streams for years to come. The key is to invest in marketing activities that you can, 1. Track, 2. Measure, and that, 3. Deliver results. What type of marketing campaigns are simultaneously track-able, measurable, and results-oriented? Simple; the type of marketing campaigns that clearly target specific customer segments.

In previous articles (American Car Care Business, January, 2006), I have written about the importance of directing traceable marketing activities towards to a particular audiencenew movers. New movers are individuals that are just joining your community, or that have relocated from a different neighborhood or section of town. What makes new movers special from a marketer's perspective is that new movers are generally more receptive to product and service offers, and are more likely to be willing to establish new routines and visit new locations. This unique mindset offers the perfect target for smart, traceable marketing strategies, and will help you to generate new customer interest in your business and its services.

Cathy Goodwin, a recognized career and relocation transition expert, confirmed the tendency of new movers to be psychologically more open to trying new products and services in independent market research conducted for her 1999 book, Making the Big Move. Goodwin's research studies the psychology of movers before, during, and after they have relocated, dividing the moving process into five distinct psychological phases, each with their individual rates of customer erosion and willingness to try new merchant services. This research outlines the importance of approaching new residents during the first few months following a move. During the "Early" and "Late Integration" periods, new residents are statistically more likely to try new services than they will be once they have assimilated into their new communities.

Invest Now for Your Business's Future

The strategies I recommend to car care business owners seek to capture the attention of new movers shortly following their relocation, while they are still in what Goodwin calls the "hyperspend" phase (during the "Early" and "Late Integration" periods). In my January, 2006 piece, I suggested that car care business owners invite new residents to their businesses with an offer for free services, and specifically encouraged entrepreneurs to provide new movers with a gift certificate covering the cost of one of their business's premium services.

Oftentimes business owners balk at the idea of giving away free premium services to new customers. "But our premium car wash retails for $17.99," they say. "Why should I give it away for free when the customer may never even come back?" Good question. Why offer your premium services for free when you could just as easily offer one of your less expensive servicesor better yet, a simple discount coupon that grants customers 10 or 15% off the price of a normal car wash?

Answer: Because you are creating a new customer relationship, and the first step to creating lasting relationships with members of your community is to impress them with an "irresistible offer" for free services. Not many customers will be impressed by an offer of 15% off a normal car washbut most will be surprised at a special invitation that offers a service valued at $17.99. The aim is to "wow" potential customers with a valuable and unique offer that will draw them to your businessthe first step in forging a new customer relationship.

What, at first, may seem like an inordinate amount to spend in order to create a single new customer relationship is really very little when you consider the lifetime value and profit contribution of each individual customer. Understanding how much each customer is actually worth can offer a fresh perspective on the amount you should invest in generating new business.

Obviously many, if not most, business owners will not have exact numbers with which to calculate the lifetime value of a customer. However, the overall theme is clear: each new customer relationship has the potential to add a tremendous amount to the lifetime profitability of your business. Even when small business owners use conservative estimates to calculate a customer's total lifetime value they are often quite surprised at the results. Suddenly a $17.99 deluxe carwash does not look like that significant of a sacrifice.

While free offers are important "bait" with which to hook new customers, it is crucially important that entrepreneurs not undermine the value of their services by indiscriminately handing out free service offers. Free service should never be something that customers expect from your business; service gift certificates such as those that I recommend sending to new residents should be used only as a mechanism to generate new customer interest. Loyal rewards programs (www.loyalrewards.com), which reward repeat business and encourage customer loyalty, help business owners to keep the customers they already have.

In short, 21st century marketing requires more than simply throwing money at a problem and crossing your fingers. Successful business owners must institute marketing programs that are can be tracked and measured, and that deliver quantifiable results. As is abundantly clear after calculating the lifetime value of each individual customer, generating new customer relationships through smart marketing strategies is not simply a secondary business activity; it's a core operating concern, and an investment in the future of your business.

Does Content Relevancy Factor Overrule Page Rank Of The Site In Coming Up In SERP's?

Page rank of the site is a important factor to come up in search results for a particular keyword but, it is observed that content relevancy factor overrules page rank. The question arises - does content relevancy factor overrules page rank of the site in coming up in SERP's? This common question comes to every SEO's mind while doing search engine optimization of a site.

It is seen that Google depends a lot on content relevancy factor when displaying results to the user. Google does this on purpose as by doing this it can supply the most relevant results to the user and hence enhance user search experience. Now we have to analyze what is content relevancy factor. We take a example if we search hotels in mumbai then Google will show a site whose theme would accurately match the searched keywords and would ignore sites in the same category but a broader theme like hotels in India or world's top hotels even though those sites might have higher page ranks.

Content relevancy factor depends on following things on a website

  • Title of the page, does title exactly matches or closely matches the keyword researched
  • Meta keywords and meta description contain the keyword searched
  • Keyword density on the page for a particular keyword searched
  • Anchor text of internal links pointing to that page
  • Anchor text of external links pointing to that page

Search engine analyzes these factors before displaying the results to the user. Search engine also awards relevant points to the location of the user and content relevant according to the specific geographic location of that user. This is a important point which a SEO should note while doing optimization work for a web site.

The Bum Marketing Method 101

What is the bum marketing method?

This is a question which many newbies or super affiliate wannabes often ask in forums or blogs. The answer can be simple as you will understand shortly. In this article, I will tell you what is the bum marketing method and how can anyone make money out of it.

The bum marketing method is a simple way to make money using a high traffic page to direct traffic to a sales page to close the deal. It is another form of article marketing in short. Because it is so simple, any bum can do it which is why it is called bum marketing!

What are the ingredients for the Bum Marketing Method?

1. A search engine loved web site such as EzineArticles, Squidoo, Zimbio & HubPages.

2. A product sales page such as a ClickBank product page, other affiliate sales page or even your very own product sales page.

3. A unique and original article optimized for long tail keywords

Basically, using the bum marketing method, you will write an article about 300 words long centered on long tail keywords with a keyword density of around 1 %. Long tail keywords are targeted 4 or 5 phrase keywords that are specific.

For example, "buy a black iPAQ Pocket PC H3670" is a long tail. Such keywords are easier to rank in Google and chances are, the searchers are laser-targeted.

Next in the bum marketing method, submit it to EzineArticles, Squidoo, Zimbio or HubPages. Remember to put links on your article to your sales page or whatever destination site you want your visitors to go. In the case of EzineArticles, place your link in the author resource box. They do not allow affiliate links but you can always use a redirect or masked link.

With long tail keywords, your article can be ranked in Google within a few days. I have seen them in Top 10 within several hours!

When your prospects search for the targeted keyword, for instance, "buy a black iPAQ Pocket PC H3670" in Google, he/she will see your bum marketing article and read it. If your link is obvious and appealing enough, he/she will visit your site and Ah-Ha! Your visitor is more likely to buy, isn't it? See the power of the bum marketing method?

How To Use Bum Marketing As Part Of Your Online Strategy

One of the most popular money making concepts on the internet today is Bum Marketing. When you first come across the term 'Bum Marketing' you are likely to be a little taken aback by the terminology. A quick Internet Search will let you in on the background and the concept behind this term - that it is a method of making money online so simple that the Author believes be can take a Bum off the street and have him earning money by the end of the week.

The 'Bum Method' really is that simple. You simply find a keyword that does not have a high level of competition, but attracts a reasonable number of searches. Write an article that is bound to appeal to the people searching for that term, and insert an affiliate link into the article before submitting it to article sites. Article sites are special content sites that accept submissions from many different authors and as a result of their high levels of updated content; they attract a huge amount of attention from the search engines. If someone clicks through your affiliate link and goes on to make a purchase, you get a commission for the sale. Even better, the article is out there for years after you complete it, meaning it could be earning you commissions well into the future!

To begin the process you need to find an affiliate program, and then find a word or key-phrase that is related to the product you are promoting. Selecting your keyword is important because you want to find one that people are searching for regularly, and that advertisers are using. Why look for one that advertisers are already using? The goal of a bum marketing article is to go straight to the top of the natural search engine results. The advertisers are paying money through Google Adwords to be listed at the top, so we know they are earning something back, but with a Bu marketing Article we can get on the first page for free! The lower the number of competing results, and the higher the number of ads the greater earning potential a BUM article has.

Web Content (Mass + Keywords) + Links = SEO

Of course, the whole goal of the search engines' ranking schemes is precisely to deliver good, relevant content to users. The mechanism for how search engines select and reward good, relevant content is essentially just a technical issue, though admittedly an extremely important technical issue.

But even in purely technical, mechanistic, terms, web content affects search engine rankings three ways:

1. inbound links

2. website mass

3. keyword optimization

1. Web Content and Inbound Links

Inbound links are the number-one factor in getting search engine rankings. They also yield plenty of traffic on their own. The importance of links is what has led many people to say that content is no longer important. But those people forget that content really does play a big role in getting links in the first place:

* At the very least, good content will make potential link partners more comfortable with linking to your site. No one wants to link to a link farm, splog, junk site, or even just an unprofessional-looking site.

* Lots of good content gives other webmasters (and particularly bloggers) a reason to link to your site spontaneously without being asked.

* You can allow other websites to post your content in exchange for a link back to your site.

2. Web Content Mass

More web pages of content = more search engine traffic

Heres why:

1. Adding pages to your site is like putting out extra nets to catch surfers.

2. Search engines see bigger websites as more prestigious and reliable.

3. The more content you have, the more reasons you give other webmasters, particularly bloggers, to link to your site spontaneously, without being asked.

3. Web Content Keyword Optimization

Keyword optimization used to be the most important step in SEO. Now it matters little in ranking for highly competitive keywords.

Still, keyword optimization can really help you get traffic from searches not on competitive keywords. While you may never rank number 1 for "finance," you may still show up tops for a search on "household finance rent federal tax deductions" if you have that phrase somewhere in your content. Such non-competitive searches make up a very large proportion of total web searches.

Web Content Keyword Optimization Checklist:

There are four legs to keyword optimization:

* Research/selection

* Density

* Prominence

* Stemming/Variation

Keyword Research and Selection

You need to identify keywords searched on by your target audience. Use tools such as those offered by WordTracker and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture).

There are two big pitfalls to avoid:

* "Negative keywords" that look relevant but are not really searched on by your target market. For instance, "website copy" is a synonym for "website content," but most people searching on "website copy" are looking for software that copies an entire website to the hard drive for offline browsing.

* Impossibly competitive keywords that you have no realistic chance of ranking high for them. How do you know if a keyword is impossibly competitive? One rough measure is to look at the PageRank of the webpages currently ranking in the top three for that keyword. If the PageRank of those pages is much higher than the PageRank your site will likely have in the future, you will probably never outrank those pages.

A pay-per-click campaign with Google Adwords of Yahoo! Search Marketing will help you to find which keywords really are searched on by your target audience.

Keyword Density

Keywords appear in the content the right number of times for search engines to recognize the page as relevant, but not so often that it looks like keyword stuffing. The longer the content, the more times the keyword should appear.

Keyword Prominence

Keywords appear in just the right positions within your web pages for search engines to recognize them as relevant. The page title, headings, and first lines of the page are often considered the most prominent positions.

Keyword Stemming/Keyword Variation

* Using variations of the keyword will help ensure web pages appear relevant to the next generation of more sophisticated search engine algorithms.

* In the meantime, variations of popular keywords helps your site appear for the "non-standard" searches on variations of the keyword.

There are three main types of keyword variations:

* Word-stem variations. A stem of a word is its base. For instance, "optimize" is the stem of "optimized." Other stem variations of "optimize" include "optimizing," "optimizer," and "optimization." You can also shuffle the component words of multiple-word keywords. Variations of website content would be web site content, web content, content for websites, and site content).

* Synonyms (such as web page content, internet content, or writing for the web for website content).

* Related terms (such as internet, SEO or web page).

For many people, the SEO side of content feels like a moot point. You need content for your visitors even if no search engine spider ever notices. But every website budget, both of money and time, is finite. If you're ever choosing whether to invest in another link to please search engines or another page of content to please your visitors, don't forget: search engines still like content, too.

Stop Making Statements That No One Cares About - Stop Complaining

If you are an online article author and you sneak in little sentences full of opinion into your articles, you might want to consider that if those comments are not based in reality, but only your own perception that no body really cares what you think. In fact, you probably are looking pretty ignorant to those of us who know better.

You see, I am not here to make you feel bad or belittle you, you are doing it to yourself, with these persnickety comments of yours. If you are attempting to get the reader to perceive of you as some sort of expert then the real experts are going to be taken aback by your rhetoric.

The fact of the matter is that No One really cares what you think until you do something, so if you have never really accomplished anything in your life but you feel they need to blast your opinion into cyberspace then many people who know better will merely think of you as that something that everyone has.

So, I recommend that you stop making comments that no one cares about and stop complaining about things that you either know nothing about or you perceive that they are the trendy thing to say. If all you do is write about things, but never do anything in life, then all you really do is add your name to the long list of maniac depressant writers who are on Prozac. Think about what I have said, this is Constructive Criticism, aimed to get you the help you need.

Internet Presence - First Page Of Google In Under 30 Days

Internet Presence - Case Study: Recipe for Success

Learn how - anyone - can leverage this Case Study to build a visible Internet presence.

I'm constantly amazed at the number of business professionals unaware of how straight forward it is to build a visible Internet presence. I recognize there may be business professionals who also don't care about this whatever there reasons. That's fine.

I'm writing this for business professionals who care about how they can leverage some very simple and non-technical concepts in an incremental attempt to impact either themselves or their businesses professionally.

In July, I spoke at the San Francisco Chapter meeting of the Marketing Executives Networking Group about leveraging on-line networking platforms and article publishing sites to build a visible Internet presence.

Many of the Silicon Valley Marketing Executives in attendance were amazed to learn how powerful on-line networking sites (e.g., Ecademy, et al.) and article publishing sites (e.g., EzineArticles, et al.) are to not only build a visible - personal - Internet presence, but they were also amazed to learn how you can leverage the exact same principles to drive a visible - corporate - Internet presence.

I used an on-line networking platform member as an example of how he's driven his website not just the 1st page of Google, but the 1st hit in Google out of over 100 million hits, against the keyword phrase: Personal Success Program.

I decided I needed to build my own Case Study after this presentation. In short, here is what I did:

I drove a website against a keyword phrase to the 1st page of Google in less than 30 days leveraging the power of an on-line networking platform and article publishing site.

And if I can do this (i.e., someone who doesn't know anything about Search Engine Optimization), anyone can do this.

What's the recipe?

Let me first start with the chronology.

  • I built my Search Advantage "Case Study" website
  • I launched my "Case Study" website July 31, 2006, and leverage a specific on-line networking platform to promote my "Case Study" website against the keyword phrase: Internet Presence (approximately 170 million hits).
  • My on-line networking platform content started to index quickly (Aug. 3, 2006).
  • My actual "Case Study" website started to index quickly hitting the 2nd page of Google a week after launching (Aug. 8, 2006).
  • My actual "Case Study" website makes the 1st page of Google 10th hit (Aug. 16, 2006).
  • My actual "Case Study" website make the 1st page of Google 5th hit (Sep. 20, 2006).
  • Less than 60 days after putting effort into raising the ranking of my "Case Study" website (against the keyword phrase: Internet Presence) my"Case Study" website consistently ranks in the middle of the first page of hits in Google out of approximately 170 million hits. Incidentally, my actual "Case Study" website also consistently ranks in the middle of the first page of hits in Google out of approximately 347 million hits (against the keyword phrase: Search Advantage).

The specific details of how I leveraged these concepts to drive my "Case Study" website to the first page of Google are visible to anyone on the Search Advantage website.

Applying these - exact - same principles, substituting your name for the keyword phrase, will drive - any content associated with your name - higher in Google as well.

This capability is priceless. For anyone can have this kind of control over proactively creating not only a visible personal, but also a corporate Internet presence, is extremely powerful.

Article Marketing Tip - Announcing The Very Best Article Marketing Tip Ever

Okay, it's no secret that article marketing is one of the best way to get thousands of dollars in free advertising for your internet business. It's also know that article marketing is becoming more and more popular amongst internet marketers which means that the competition is at an all time high.

So how in the world can a newbie to article marketing get in on some the action and actually benefit from writing and submitting articles as a way of getting free traffic and advertising?

Well, here is the best article marketing tip ever given and if you use it, you are guaranteed to explode your traffic, sales, and efforts. The tip is this: Use each and every article that you write and submit as way to build your opt in list.

That's it. The best article marketing tip you will ever get. If you use your articles as a way to collect the name and email address of a percentage of the readers, you will be in control of your own financial future.

There are many other article marketers that would argue this tip, especially those who are using bum marketing to bring in sales for affiliate products. You know what bum marketing is don't you? That's where you write and submit a batch of articles centered around a particular product.

Then at the end of the article, you send them readers to the product web site. If they buy, you make money if they don't, you lose. This is where many people in my opinion are making the biggest mistake ever.

Why spend your time and energy on the hope of the one time sale when you drive that same reader to your simple opt in squeeze page, offer them a great free ebook or report, get their name and email address, then follow up with them forever.

If you use article marketing to build your build a large responsive opt in list, you will profit from it for as long as you want. Give it a try and see the results for yourself.

Article Marketing - Latest 4 High Impact Methods to Improve Your Article Marketing

If you are looking for a relatively cost-effective and uncomplicated way to draw targeted traffic to your website, you should definitely give article marketing a try. This is a powerful marketing method that can be used in attracting your potential clients to your website thus, augmenting your sales potential.

Here are the 4 high impact methods to improve your article marketing:

    1. Use interesting, striking titles. The promotion of your articles begins with your headlines. They must have the capability to move readers to open and read your articles to increase their chances of being widely distributed online. What makes a good title? It must be short, direct to the point, thought-provoking, and it must be able to communicate the benefits that your content can offer to your potential readers.

    2. Your articles must be publisher-friendly. They must conform to the standards set by publishing sites to minimize or effectively eliminate the chances of your articles being rejected online. What are the common requirements of publishers? Your articles must run at least 300 words, they must be informative, keyword-rich, and free from sales pitches, inappropriate content, and hyperlinks on the article body.

    3. Use keywords on your content. When people search for particular information online, they usually key in search terms on search engines to get relevant articles or other information-based tools. To make your articles fare well on searches, you need to identify the keywords that are usually used by your target market and strategically place them on your content.

    4. Widely distribute your articles. Article submission sites are not the only avenues where you can post your articles to get the exposure they need. You can also publish them on directories, blogs, forums, and on your website. You can also convert them to podcast and submit them on podcast submission sites to get unlimited quality inbound links.

Cash Gifting Review - Scam Or Legal?

Gift giving is prevalent in any culture. So what makes Cash Gifting different and what are some considerations that you should know?

    What Is It?

The information age has brought on the idea of Cash Gifting online. It is literally what it sounds like. One person sends a "cash gift" to another person, and so on and so forth.

Rather than having a legitimate product to sell and distribute, Cash Gifting programs eliminate the product entirely and just exchange the money. They claim that this is the whole reason that someone gets involved with internet marketing in the first place. They are looking to make a substantial online income and aren't as interested in the products that they are promoting. What they are really after is the money. That is a rather broad assumption I believe.

    Is It Legal?

The Cash Gifting programs claim that they follow the stringent laws designed by the IRS to protect consumers. However, when you are exchanging money with people, what if something goes wrong? The likelihood of running into problems with litigation is increased dramatically when you do not have a tangible product.

One thing that is very concerning is the fact that whenever you go to a Cash Gifter's website, you will never see anyone's faces. This is concerning for the fact that with a typical website, you want to brand yourself. You accomplish this goal by including pictures of yourself with audio or video messages welcoming people to your site. The fact that you do not show your face on a Cash Gifting site, leads me and most anyone to believe that there is something to hide. Possibly that there is even something illegal about the process.

    What Should You Know?

Cash Gifting is just like any other online business. The way that marketers become successful is by driving large amounts of traffic to their websites. This can be done online or offline, with advertising dollars or without. The highly successful Cash Gifters will be those that are proficient at marketing.

In conclusion, whether or not Cash Gifting is a scam or legal is up to you. There are definitely some red flags that go up in my mind, but it is up to you to make your decision for yourself. There are some people who have done very well with this business model. However, it seems rather risky to me.

Keyword Research Is Your Key To Success

If you find the right keywords you will more likely find success on the internet. Keywords drive the search engines and many webmasters know this but they still fail to find the best keywords for their website.

The best tool for this is the father of keyword research, Wordtracker. Most SEO's believe that Wordtracker will give the best results, especially when compared to the Overture keyword finder. You must be a paying subscriber to use Wordtracker but they do have a free trial subscription.

Another "pay as you go" keyword site and in my opinion is as good if not better than Wordtracker is the newer Keyword Discovery site. They were a little shaky when they started a few years ago, but have grown into a formidable opponent to Wordtracker.

The Overture keyword tool is a free tool. Many SEO's frown upon Overture because they feel the results are not accurate, I tend to like them. Overture's results are not as precise as Wordtracker or Keyword Discovery. Overture tends to lump all singular and plural phrases into one singular phrase category. This makes knowing what is searched for hard and you have to guess which keyword term to use as in "automobile" or "automobiles". You have to think to yourself how you would search for the term and go with your gut feeling. Wordtracker gives you results for both terms and is a little more accurate.

There are many keyword tools that use Overtures keyword research. A free tool and one that I recommend is Good Keywords, by Softnik Technologies. It can be downloaded free from their website.

Digital Points free Keyword Suggestion tool at digitalpoint.com is an excellent tool that will give you both wordtracker and overture keyword suggestions. Though, you are limited to the first 10 keywords on Wordtracker.

Finally, Google's Keyword tool at: adwords.google.com/select/KeywordTool is also a very good tool to try. It is suppossed to be used for your adwords campaign but it can find nice targeted keywords and it is a free tool.

Finding the right keywords for your site is not very hard. Though I think it is important to do research and not rush into it. You must come up with the initial search term you are thinking of using. Then input it into one of the keyword search sites and see what keywords they find.

Look for phrases instead of single words. It is best to look for 3 to 5 word phrases. This will ensure that searchers who are looking for your product are really interested in that keyword and not just browsing general keywords to see what they can find.

Searchers don't look for Acne. They might be looking for "acne skin conditions" or "acne cream that works". These terms are much more targeted and though they might get fewer searches than just the word, "acne", you will have visitors to your site who are interested and more willing to buy.

Now, compile a list of the best keywords or keyword phrases. This might be five or fifty and it depends on how large you want your site to be. Go to Google.com and do a Google search for each keyword. Look at the results in the top right hand corner. This will tell you your competition.

Now you must do a little analysis. You are looking for keywords that have the most searches from the tool you used and the least number of competing sites as listed in your Google results.

You will need a spreadsheet for this. If you don't have one go to OpenOffice.org and download their Open Office suite. It is a very good product and comparable to Microsoft Office Suite.

Start your spreadsheet program and you will need to use three columns. From left to right label the columns: Keyword searches, Google Competition and S/GC. For, every keyword fill in the column. The first column will have the searches from your Keyword Suggestion Tool. The second column will have the results from the Google Competition results you found from Google. In the third column you will divide the searches by the Google Competition. You want keywords with a lower S/GC. The lower score the better. A lower number tells you that for a given keyword there will be less competition for the searches performed by searchers.

Choose the best keywords from your list and these will be the keywords you will want to focus on with individual web pages on your site. This brief introduction into keyword mining will get you started on the right track to acquiring traffic to your website. Good Luck.

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest 4 Profitable Steps to Supercharge Your Article Marketing

If you want to increase the chances of your articles being read and republished online, you need to make them content-rich. By this, I mean fill them up with valuable information that are being searched for by your target market. Offer solutions to their problems, provide answers to their most asked questions, and offer information that can help them better understand their areas of interest. Looking for other steps to supercharge your article marketing? Then, read on!

    1. Article summary. This will be shown together with your article title on search result page. You can use this to give your readers a sneak peak on what information are included in your content and reasons why your articles should be opened and read. To increase your clickthrough rate, make your article summary compelling, intriguing, interesting, keyword-rich, and thought-provoking.

    2. Outline. To make your writing focused and well-guided, you need to organize your ideas before you start writing your articles. This will help you not to forget crucial information and present your ideas in a logical manner so your readers will easily get the message you are trying to get across.

    3. Research. You would want your articles to be fact-based so you can strengthen your credibility online, correct? Thus, you must keep yourself from writing your content based on your ideas and opinions alone. You need to read at least 3 resources that are relevant to your topic to make sure that all the information you will present on your articles are based on facts.

    4. Hyperlinks. One of the main reasons why publishers are rejecting articles is because they contain links. To increase the chances of your articles being published online, make sure that you put hyperlinks only on your resource box.

Internet Marketing Strategies - Google AdWords Account Structure

A key to a successful Internet Marketing Strategy is a Sponsored Search Marketing campaign. One primary part of Sponsored Search marketing is the Google AdWords system.

Google AdWords allows users the ability to bid on top placement on the Google website and the Google search network. The Google AdWords system also has access to a content network which allows syndication of their marketing across a variety of websites.

Google AdWords is categorized as Search Engine Marketing when it comes to an Internet Marketing Strategy.

We will dissect the structure of a Google AdWords account to help you plan out the proper strategy when it comes to the search engine marketing aspect of your Internet Marketing Strategy. A Google AdWords Account has the following structure:

Campaign > AdGroup > Keywords & Ad Copy

The campaign level of the Google AdWords account appears immediately after the main account level. A campaign is the level of an AdWords account is where you have the ability to set the geographic targeting, language targeting, time scheduling for both daily and for the time on the clock in 15 minute increments. The campaign level description should correlate with the internal theme of Ad Groups.

    Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy

The Ad Group level of the Google AdWords account appears immediately after the campaign level of the account. The Ad Group is the area where we are able to have 10,000 (ten-thousand) sections to organize your keywords in direct correlation with the Ad Copy you plan on your keywords triggering. Your Ad Group name should have a relevant theme to the keywords found in the Ad Group.

    Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy

The Keywords of the Google AdWords account appear directly below the Ad Group. Keywords are words you would like to target on the search engine. There are three distinct styles to create your keywords and they are broad match, phrase match, and exact match.

Broad match keywords target the words you typed in and any words in combination with them or between the words.

Phrase match is words locked next to each other but keywords are able to attach on to either end of the phrase.

Exact match is the exact keyword you want your Ad Copy to hit for. Your Ad Copy and keywords should have strong relevant correlation.

    Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy

Ad Copy is part of an Ad Group where you need to have strong relevancy and correlation with themes in the keyword set. The Ad Copy you are provided has area for 4 (four) messages: Ad Title, Description Line 1, Description Line 2, and your Display URL.

Your AdCopy should have multiple catches to stand out in the marketplace. Your Ad Title should create interest in your Ad Copy and help the rest of your message standout. One key to think about is what will set you apart from the general marketplace. This may include capitalizing all the words in your title or even placing a call to action with even the just the first word capitalized leading into a message. Your AdCopy will vary if you're selling an item versus selling a service. Some ads may be local oriented if you are in the service business. Also, local oriented ads targeted to a specific geography will need to be separated into their own Campaign.

    AdWords Account Structure Summary...

AdWords accounts take a well structured approach for the most optimal results and relevancy programmed in before you begin your bidding. We have been working on creating accounts for over 5 years and continue to learn something new every day. Be sure to manage and measure your account as the market is always changing, one great tracking mechanism is Google Analytics.
