Are you sending traffic to your website? If you answered yes as most people will, then you are a good candidate for building an Opt in list. Not just because the money is in the list but because it is smart online marketing.

Allow me explain. With the entrance of broadband, people move very quickly from one website to the next. You may have a great website, copy and lots of bonuses but people/visitors are not always ready to spend the time to go through your offer. Result: they miss your good offer and they're gone - most times for good.

So what's the solution? Build a list and maximise the traffic already arriving at your site. It is that simple. Now allow me use this illustration: You send traffic to your website say 1000. 2% buy your product of $10; you have just earned $200. What about the 98% (980) who did not buy first time?

OK, now imagine this: you capture their names and addresses and follow them up; bearing in mind that people will not necessarily save your web address in their favourites box. So you follow them up and another 2% of your 980 buys. You would have made $400 in total. See where I am going with this? You would not have doubled your conversion rate with the same amount of traffic apart from capturing the details of non buyers and following them up.

You could say your lead conversion rate is now 4%. Think of what would happen if you had a great relationship with your subscribers. You could easily triple or quadruple your profits without any extra or additional traffic!

Build a list and remind your visitor of your offer and increase your profits from the same amount of traffic. Do this and you will convert more of your subscribers into buyers.

Don't rely on one time sales. It takes less effort to get an existing customer to buy something from you than it does to find more fresh customers.
